Xiaomi Mi Note 2 Leaks With A Vertical Dual Camera Setup – Android Headlines

The Xiaomi Mi Note 2 is Xiaomi’s upcoming flagship phablet. The first-gen Mi Note and Mi Note Pro devices were introduced back in January last year, and the company still didn \ 't introduce their successor(s). Well, the Mi Note 2 has been leaking for months at this point, and the company’s CEO recently said that the Mi Note 2 will surprise us, and more or less confirmed that the device is coming soon. Xiaomi is expected to introduce this phablet in October or November, following the announcements of the Mi 5 and Mi 5 Plus flagship smartphones which occurred last month.

Having that in mind, we did see a lot of Mi Note 2 leaks, and yet another one has just popped up. If you take a look at the provided image, you’ll get to see the alleged Mi Note 2 phablet, well, the its back side. Unlike some other leaks we’ve seen, this model has a vertical dual camera setup on the back, and a dual-LED, dual tone flash on the right. The company’s branding is placed in the lower portion of the phone’s back side, and we’re looking at a ice cream back here once again, similar to the one we’ve seen on the Xiaomi Mi 5. In addition to that, the back side of this smartphone is curved, which is also something we’ve seen on the Mi 5, and also on the Mi Note 2′s predecessors. There are two hardware buttons visible in this image, and they’re placed on the right-hand side of this smartphone (on the left if we look at them from the back side, that’s where they’re placed in the provided image). This device also comes with a frame made out of metal, its sides are metallic, as you can see.

It is possible Xiaomi will opt for a redesign, but on the other hand it is possible they'll stick to the horizontal alignment of the rear-facing camera sensors, as most of the earlier leaks had suggested. Speaking of which, if rumors / leaks are accurate, the Mi Note 2 will sport a 5.7-inch QHD display, along with 6GB of RAM and multiple internal storage variants. This phablet will be fueled by the Snapdragon 821 64-bit quad-core processor, just like the Mi 5 and Mi 5 Plus. Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow will come pre-installed on the Mi Note 2, along with the company’s MIUI 8 OS. There’s a slight chance this phablet could arrive with Android 7.0 Nougat and MIUI 9, but that’s not that likely.
