China’s search engine giant Baidu reveals photos about Xiaomi’s foldable concept smartphone. While manufacturing it can be a challenge, Samsung, LG and Lenovo's recent undertakings are reason enough that the trend of flexible devices is indeed coming.

Foldable smartphones are indeed coming. Xiaomi has joined the bandwagon of tech companies with a design concept that actually involves the bendable devices.
The truth is, a number of organizations have unveiled their projects during the past months if only to excite enthusiasts and users about their respective future products. Samsung manages to present its patents during the last few years. Lenovo teases observer’s with its design ahead of the IFA 2016.
Although, of foldable phones can be a growing fad in the near future, lots of work is needed. Bendable displays carry a burdensome approach. Manufacturing is not only costly. The process of innovating is critical to the entire equation considering that repeated flexing will cause mechanical troubles down the line. This means that a unit’s life span becomes questionable.
As one of the revolutionary technology groups in China, Xiaomi is currently associated with a lot of programs. It comes up with the android TV box and the Mi Notebook Air. It has even produced both air and water purifiers. The organization’s latest engagement involves a far greater undertaking.
According to Gizchina, the famous Chinese search engine Baidu has leaked Xiaomi’s flexible concept smartphone. Although, the posted images haven’t been validated yet, there is reason to believe that the company is onto something especially now that a new flagship, the Mi Note 2, is report derived to hit the market very soon.
With all the fascination affiliated with foldable units, it must be noted that the concept is presently a manufacturing puzzle considering that challenges abound. One good development about it confirms that it can be done.
LG and Samsung have revealed that a flexible device is possible. Although screens can be bended, the other problem is the rigidity of some of the unit’s display party. For instance, the OLED component is one part of the smartphone that contains vulnerable circuits.
