When The iPad Mini came out it was Immediately Compared to other small tablets. The Mini costs more than its Competitors, and many have saidthat it, AOS overpriced the best of the bunch. It May well be the case, as it is Apple, after all. So, how does it compare to the Samsung Galaxy Note 2?
The iPad Mini has an A5 chip, and while it, AOS not the fastest chip around, it, AOS no sluggard. It also has a Power VR GPU, Which offers decent performance. The iPad Mini has 1GB of RAM, and you can choose either black or while, with storage options of 16GB, 32GB or 64GB.
The Samsung Galaxy Note 2 has a quad-core 1.6GHz Exynos chip, with amazing graphics. It comes in 16GB or 32GB versions, with SD support for up to 64GB, so it, AOS a winner.
The Note 2, AOS 5.5, AU display has a ppi of 306, Which is higher than the iPad Mini, AOS. The display isn, AOT Retina, though, Which has drawn some criticism.
The display on the Mini is a good size, but its tech just isn, AOT as good as the Note 2, AOS, Which gives deep blacks and intense colors.
The Note 2 runs on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, and the Mini has iOS 6.1. Apple will update its OS Regularly, and iOS 6 alreadycreated came with more than 200 new features. The App Store has way more apps That Google Play, Which is a big bonus. However, with the Note 2 being a phablet, it doesn, AOT need Tablet Optimised apps, so it can take advantage of the 600,000 Android apps alreadycreated available. This is a tablet comparison though, so on tablet apps, the iPad Mini wins.
The Note 2 has an 8MP rear camera and a 1.9MP camera in front. The iPad Mini has a 5MP iSight camera on the back and a 2MP front camera, Which can take 720p videos. This camera has five elements Which make for brilliant low light images. However, the Note 2, AOS camera is faster and the photos are better, so this is on top.
The Note 2 has taken the most points here, and it is overpriced has great hardware and lots of widgets like S Pen, GPS and NFC. On the other hand, the iPad Mini can use Tablet Optimised apps and a lower price tag.
