Samsung’s two high-end smartphones from 2012 are still stuck on Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean, Which despite Bringing some very Desirable performance fixes and features to the phones, is not the latest version of the OS.
SamMobile , the blog dedicated to all-things-Samsung, tweeted That the Korean company is facing issues with Implementing some of the newer TouchWiz features in the older smartphones. This had suffered to a delay in the rollout of Android 4.2.2 to the phones. It must be noted That both the S3 and Note 2 still boast great hardware That can compete with the latest out there, if not best them. As a result, aftermarket Android 4.2.2 ROM for the S3 and Note 2 are dime-a-dozen. So users do not have an option of getting the latest version. However, an official update will be beneficial for the less tech-savvy users.

Samsung had Announced at the time of the Galaxy S4 unveiling That the new TouchWiz features will be coming soon to the Note 2 and Galaxy S3.
