play mobile was in the 90′s basically synonymous with the Nintendo Gameboy. But when it started talking about that Nokia would give into the game in the early 2000s with a gadget that not only went on to play with, but also making a call, many became excited.

the n-gage had a design inspired by the world of gaming, but would go to use as a telephone also. Unfortunately was not particularly good at any of it. For that call you got to hold the phone so that it looked like a taco. To change the game you got to take apart the phone and poking in the game behind the battery.

Nokia lied to about how many n-gage to they sold. The company claimed that they sold 400 000 the first two weeks. But independent marknadsanalysfirmor meant rather that there was approximately 6 000. Later, Nokia to stated figures on the number of units you have sent to the dealers and not those bought by customers.

in 2004, the year after the launch, Nokia had sold one million n-gage. However, it was a far cry from the six million man was the target. The flop was total.
