class=”article-post-content”> Samsung Galaxy S3 and Note 2 KitKat updates before end of March ‘I want my elephant! I want my elephant! “Sorry, I was just thinking about an old episode of The Simpsons wherein Bart really wants – yes – his elephant.

class=”article-post-content”> Here we’re Replacing “Bart” with “Samsung Galaxy S3/Note 2 owners”, and “elephant” with “KitKat Android 4.4 update”, and relaying the news That the latters is

coming soon. Like, before the end of Q1.

That’s the word According To Android Geeks, Which quotes an unnamed “Samsung software engineer.”

The engineer says That KitKat Android 4.4 for the Samsung Galaxy S3 and Galaxy Note 2 will arrive “in late Q1 2014, soon after the Galaxy S4 Android 4.4 rollout.”

He adds That the UI changes will be minor (unlike the seemingly Windows Phone-esque Samsung Galaxy S5), and thatthere will be no new software features.

As such, headline features of the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 S3/Galaxy KitKat Android 4.4 update will include a transparent status bar (THE FUTURE IS NOW), the probability-to-print, and That full-screen immersive fashion.

To be fair, from Google’s point of view, the primary focus of KitKat Android 4.4 Ice compatibility with devices rocking a modest 512MB of RAM. Low-end sales have of course Helped Android Establish its position as the world’s most popular smartphone operating system.

KitKat Android 4.4 recently started rolling out to the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 in Poland, while the Samsung Galaxy S4 version is supposedly still in testing.
