Samsung took the opportunity to four of proper gadget rain at CES 2014 opened. But in addition to three new Galaxy Tab Pro plates revealed that Samsung also had another ace up its sleeve – namely Galaxy Note Pro.
LCD display with 2560 x 1600 pixels
The first Galaxy Note handset launched on technology fair IFA in autumn 2011. Then there were few who believed that 5.3-inch phone was going to be something other than a parenthesis in the history of technology. But instead came the phone to be a huge success, and marked the start of phablet trend of devices that are on the borderline between phones and tablets.
For new Galaxy Note Pro though, it is no doubt that in the case of a tablet. The unit measures namely 12.2 inches across the diagonal, and is thus equal to the Galaxy Tab 12.2 Pro.
The resolution of the LCD screen is 2560 times 1600 pixels, and the plate is run with the latest version of Android, which is known by the given name KitKat.
Samsung has chosen to add its TouchWiz interface on the tablet. But it also – like the Galaxy Tab Pro – a completely new layout for their Home screens. The new design is called UX Magazine and consists of Home screens where users can place tiles with apps, widgets and other information. According to U.S. technology site The Verge should layup remind strongly about LiveTile system in Windows 8.1. Design-wise, it has not leaked a lot of water under the bridge: Galaxy Note Pro continues on the same path marked out as Note 3 and Galaxy Tab Pro with a backside of a material that can be described as faux leather.
Apps four windows simultaneously
Galaxy Note 2 users got the ability to run apps next to each other in two windows on the screen. Note Pro takes the concept to a new level by expanding the number of windows you can run apps in through four. Just as before, the Galaxy Note will enhter Pro version that is supplied with the stylus S Pen, which offer various Air Command functions when holding the pen over the screen (including Action Memo, Scrapbook and S Finder).
Galaxy Note Pro’s Wi-Fi and 3G versions with Samsung’s own system chip Exynos 5 Octa (1.9 GHz + 1.3 GHz) under the hood. LTE/4G-versionen of the plate supplied however with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 800-chip (2.3 GHz). Working memory is 3 GB – perhaps a new standard in Samsung’s top of the range? – While the storage memory landing on 32/64 GB. The users who are in need of more Gbytes can connect memory card type micro SD in sizes up to 64 GB.
Surf plate battery has a capacity of 9500mAh, which can be compared with those in Case Air (8820mAh). It will be interesting to see how much usage it is possible to squeeze out the powerful battery of Samsung’s new super-hot.
Galaxy Note Pro will sometime in the first quarter.
