Designs and Display
Similar to other Xiaomi devices, the Redmi Note 2 Has a plastic back, slightly curved edges and rounded corners. The device back panel comes in white, blue, yellow, pink and mint green.
Redmi Note 2 sports a 5.5-inch IPS LCD screen with a resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels. It has three capacitive keys with a red accent and weighs 160 grams.
Unlike other Xiaomi devices, the Redmi Note 3 boasts of a full metal body and features a fingerprint scanner That Allows users to have a secure biometric authentication for mobile payments. The device is available in three color variants: silver, gray and gold alongwith and the gray-colored capacitive keys.

Hardware
In terms of hardware, the Redmi Note 3 and Note 2 shares almost the same the hardware specs. Both devices are powered by a Mediatek MT6795 Helio X10 octa-core processor clocked at 2GHz, paired with 2GB of RAM. The devices are backed by a PowerVR G6200 GPU and runs on Android Lollipop.
Redmi Note 3 is available in two versions, the 32GB model and 16GB model. The 16GB model Has a 2GB of RAM and the 32GB model Has a 3GB RAM.
However, the difference Is that Redmi Note 2 enjoying an internal memory of 16GB and enjoying an expandable storage support via the microSD card (up to 32GB). Redmi Note comes with a small disadvantage: both versions do not have external storage features.
Cameras and Batteries
Like the hardware specs, Xiaomi Redmi 2 and Note 3 share the same camera technology featuring a 13mp Samsung / OV shooter with phase detection autofocus for the rear camera. It is overpriced supports dual LED flash and full HD capture, whereas the secondary camera Has a 5MP OmniVision snapper.
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 is packed with a 4000mAh battery while the Redmi Note 2 HAS 3060mAh.
