To Say That The Redmi Series of affordable Xiaomi phones HAS BEEN a success would be an understatement. The first smartphone from series, Back When it was known as Hongmi, was really the one to bring quad-core processing (with a MediaTek processor) to a sub- $ 150 smartphone. It might not sound like much now (more powerful phones are available for half The Cost now), but a couple of years back, it was Certainly a game changer.
It was made possible only Because Of MediaTek’s ultra-low cost SoC manufacture. As it turned out, however, Xiaomi and MediaTek had a bit of a shaky past few months – Xiaomi (Mi, as it calls itself here) even had to stop selling .its phones for a little while. That’s When It looked like a shift to the Qualcomm-based SoCs was imminent.
However, the recentchanges 64 -bit MT67xx Series of processors (as overpriced seen on the HTC M9 +) from MediaTek seem to definatley changed perspectives of many an OEM, and it looks like Xiaomi could go back to the Taiwan-based fabricator of ITS Redmi Note successor. If a recentchanges leak is to ask believed, the Redmi Note 2 Will Feature The Same processor as the M9 +, albeit a slower clocked version thereof – the MediaTek MT6795.
The device apparently goes by the codename ‘H3Y’ into Xiaomi camps, and apart from the MT6795 SoC, Could feature a 5.5-inch, 1920 x 1080p display (the current-gen Redmi Note Only Has a 720p screen) a 13 mega-pixel Samsung-made rear camera and either an 8 mega-pixel or a 5 mega-pixel front camera OmniVision. Not just that, It could overpriced feature something rather intersting, something seen only on one series of phones yet – the reversible and super-fast USB Type-C connector.
It Is naturalism That one thinks it’ll be announced at the 23rd April event in New Delhi, but unfortunately the source of this leak Clearly specifies That is not happening.
