Android 4.4.2 for Samsung Galaxy Note 2 Now Available in India – Android Geeks

The Samsung Galaxy Note 2 Android 4.4.2 update is now being pushed to the Indian users, less than a week after the new firmware was spotted rolling out for the users in France.

Even though the new software update is now officially pushed in India, you might have to wait a few more days until it hits your device. Just like any other software update, the Android 4.4.2 update for Samsung Galaxy Note 2 is being rolled out in stages, meaning that some of you might not be able to download and install it right away.

As you may know, as soon as your Samsung Galaxy Note 2 is eligible to receive the Android 4.4.2 update you will receive a system update message in the notification area. All you need to do is tap on it and follow the on-screen instructions. It's also worth checking for the update manually under Settings > About phone > Software update > Check for

software updates.

Alternatively, you can grab the USB cable, connect your Note 2 to the PC, and check for the Android 4.4.2 KitKat update through KIES.

Because the Note 2 was still running Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, the Android 4.4.2 KitKat OTA update file might have a size of more than 1 GB, therefore it's recommended to download it through a stable WiFi network to avoid data charges.

Unfortunately, there's no official change log for the Galaxy Note 2 Android 4.4.2 update, but we are pretty sure that the firmware that it's rolling to Samsung's 2012 phablet is similar to the one that was pushed to the likes of Note 3 or Galaxy S4.

Besides the usual KitKat goodies such as white status bar icons, transparent status and nav bars, full screen album art in the lockscreen, camera shortcut in the lockscreen, cloud printing, immersive mode, improved Phone dialer with caller ID, new Location menu, and more, the new firmware also arrives it Samsung-specific improvements: enhanced Samsung Keyboard, updated Samsung apps, TouchWiz interface tweaks, and more.

Have you guys received the Android 4.4.2 on your Samsung Galaxy Note 2? Please let your fellow Note 2 owners know in the comments section below.
