Take Note Samsung: Xiaomi Unveils Curved Mi Note 2 to Claim the Android Phablet … – The Droid Review (blog)

Following a long list of successful launches by the Xiaomi smartphone manufacturing company, it’s gradually becoming one of the most widely anticipated smartphone producers in the whole China. Just recently, the company unveiled its plans to reveal its next-generation flagship, the Mi Note 2.

While many Xiaomi users are super excited about this news, the Chinese Company is reportedly gunning for the smartphone crown that was recently vacated by Samsung after its Galaxy Note 7 entered into a series of unfortunate events that led to an early retirement.

the Previous Galaxy Note 7 users may also find the double-edged, curved display design a lousy reminder of Samsung’s ex-flagship smartphones. Xiaomi’s Mi Note 2 on the other hand, features an "ultra-thin" flexible OLED display which the company claims covers 77.2% of the phone’s frontal section.

What more, the Mi Note 2 is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 821 chipset, and packs a 4070mAh battery which provides support for Quick Charge 3.0 as well as sporting a large 6GB of RAM. The Android-running Mi Note 2 is no back sitting in the storage aisle as it is expected to feature a 128GB of internal storage.

Furthermore, the smartphone also sports a 22.56-megapixel rear camera that comes with a wide array of hardware features committed to 4K video capture. The phone also provides support for global LTE bands, NFC and High-Res audio functionality, a fingerprint scanner, and many others.

As if that isn’t enough, Xiaomi also reportedly revealed that the Mi Note 2 will be compatible with the Mi VR headset feature that was introduced alongside the smartphone device.
