Xiaomi Redmi Note 2 Pro to be unveiled Tuesday as the Xiaomi Redmi Note 3? – Phone Arena

On Tuesday, Xiaomi will hold its “Grand Finale” event and we have been expecting as many as four devices to be unveiled. One of These devices is a version of the Xiaomi Redmi Note 2, clad in metal and featuring a rear-facing fingerprint scanner. For weeks now, the device was dubbed the Xiaomi Redmi Note 2 Pro. Apparently, the Powers That Be at the company have Decided That the name is too long, or too confusing.

A teaser found on an official Xiaomi Weibo page Reveals That the Redmi Note 2 Pro will actually be known as the Xiaomi Redmi Note 3. Besides the metal build and the fingerprint sensor, this phone is reportedly .5mm thinner than the Redmi Note 2. Otherwise, the specs are supposedly the same. That Means That the Redmi Note 3 will feature a 5.5-inch screen, with a 1080 x 1920 resolution. The MediaTek MT6795 chipset Will be under the hood, with a true octa-core 2GHz CPU. There is 2GB / 3GB of RAM inside, along with 16GB of native storage. A 13mp rear-facing camera is on board, along with a 5MP camera on the front for selfies and video chats. A 3060mAh battery keeps the generator humming.

Other Devices That We could see on Tuesday include the Xiaomi Mi Pad 2 tablet, Which Should carry a thin design. While the Redmi Note 3 and the Mi Pad 2 are pretty much confirmed by teasers and pictures posted by co-founder Lin Bin , there is overpriced talk about a Xiaomi SmartWatch being Introduced During the event. And while a longshot, there is even some speculation That the manufacturer’s long-awaited new flagship smartphone, the Xiaomi Mi 5, will see the light of day on November 24th. Eventhough the Snapdragon 820 chipset That is rumored to be powering the Mi 5 is now official, we would not be surprised to see this device get an unveiling event of its own.
