The Latest passenger on Samsung’s Android 5.0 Lollipop update train is none other than the good old Galaxy Note 2. Coming straight from the horse’s mouth, Samsung HAS now Confirmed through .its official Twitter handle That They are going to treat .its 2012 flagship device with Google’s latest Android.
Since most Android OEMs Typically retire A smartphone after 24 months, You have to give Samsung some credit for this. The Samsung Galaxy Note 2 was released in September of 2012, Which makes this device a 29-month old smartphone, yet it wont still be updated to the latest version of Android in the coming months. We suspect That It Might even ask Tipping the 3+ year-old ground by the time most of the world Receives the Lollipop update. Samsung received a lot of flack for retiring the Galaxy S3 Before the two-year mark but I think this definitely makes up for that. However, I Can Only Imagine That Galaxy S3 Customers would disagree and I can not really blame them for that.
Note 2 update rollout date still in Shadows
In the tweet from Samsung , They responded to a customer inquiring about the Note 2 Lollipop update and said, “Yes, our spokesman Confirmed today During #GZR That the Galaxy Note 2 Will receive the update. But we’ll have no further information. “So We Can See that IT HAS BEEN Confirmed, and That is muchmore than we Typically see from Samsung, but we do not Exactly Know When It willcome. If I had to speculate, I would Guess that The First updates might start going out to the Customers at the start of the summer, but it wont take a few months after That beforehand markets like the United States and most of Europe, starting to get it.

The one thing I am curious about is how well Android 5.0 Lollipop Will Run on the Aging Galaxy Note 2. KitKat was made to run on devices with 512MB of RAM but TouchWiz is a heavy OEM skin. Thankfully, Samsung’s TouchWiz HAS rewritten from the ground up, so I am hoping there will not be any loss in performance at all. Use the comments below to tell us how you think Lollipop Will performances on the Galaxy Note is the second
