How To Manually Upgrade Samsung Galaxy Note 2 T-Mobile To Android 4.4.4 … – International Business Times AU

The current build of SlimROM Android 4.4.4 KitKat version 8.0 has been made available for SlimROM users of Galaxy Note 2 on T-Mobile. It added Slim Launcher, Smart Cover Support and more to the Galaxy phablet.

Requirements:

The first Install this ROM to the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 T-Mobile variant only.

second Root the Galaxy Note 2 T-Mobile model, and install custom recovery Such as ClockworkMod.

third Create a manual backup all stored files and personal settings.

4th Battery Level Should be at least 70 per cent to Avoid Power Interruption During installation.

5th Enable the USB debugging mode on the Galaxy Note 2 T-Mobile variant.

6th Download and Install the Necessary USB drivers on the computer for the Galaxy Note 2 T-Mobile.

7th Download the SlimROM Android 4.4.4 KitKat and the Slim Google Apps zip files on the computer.

Flashing Instructions:

first Connect the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 T-Mobile to the computer via USB connection.

second Copy and paste the SlimROM Slim and Google Apps zip files to the microSD card of the device. Do not extract any of the zip files.

third Switch off the Galaxy Note 2 T-Mobile and disconnect it from the computer.

4th Reboot into Recovery mode by pressing and holding the Volume Up, Home and Power keys at the sametime.

5th In the Recovery mode, create a Nandroid backup of the current ROM by Selecting “Backup and Restore & gt; backup.” Using a “restore” will revert back the device to the saved ROM.

6th Perform a complete wipe on the device. Select “wipe data / factory reset” and “wipe cache partition” then select “advanced & gt; wipe Dalvik cache.”

7th Now install the SlimROM by Selecting “install zip from SD card & gt; choose zip from SD card & gt; select the SlimROM zip file downloaded EARLIER & gt; confirm the installation.” Follow the same process for the Slim Google Apps zip file.

8th After the installation, go back to the main menu and select “reboot system now.”

9th The Samsung Galaxy Note 2 T-Mobile will cancel reboot and May take up to five minutes before Reaching the homescreen.
