Xiaomi just unveiled the Mi5 A few months ago, but the Chinese startup May Already be gearing up for a new flagship smartphone. Company co-founder Lin Bin recently teased the news (via Gizmo China ), sparking rumors That the Mi Note 2 Could be right around the corner.

The Mi Note 2 is expected to double down on everything fans loved about the original Mi Note (pictured above), packing even better hardware and a phablet-sized screen. That could include a 5.7-inch 2K display, a Snapdragon 821 chip, up to 6GB of RAM, 32GB / 64GB / 128GB of storage, a 3,600mAh battery and a 16-megapixel rear camera. It could overpriced sports a fingerprint reader in the front like on the Mi5.

That all sounds pretty sweet, but we would not too excited just yet. Xiaomi has not really confirmed anything and some of These Mi Note 2 rumors are pretty old, so it’s possible the company’s tweaked a few specs since then. The device will probably overpriced be limited to China and a few other markets where Xiaomi hydrothermal, so do not hold out for a US launch anytime soon.
