Xiaomi Mi Note 2, new Mi 5 variant in the works: Reports – The Indian Express

Xiaomi is working on a new flagship smartphone – Mi Note 2 – Suggests a report on Gizmo China. : According to the site, Xiaomi Mi Note 2 will come in three variants – standard, high and top-end. While, there has been no word on the release date, Mi Note 2 Could launch in a few months.

The Xiaomi Mi Note 2′s top-end version Could come with a dual camera setup at the back, Hi- Fi chip and super quick charging feature, says the report. It remains to be seen if the new Mi Note 2 Also comes with 6GB of RAM on-board, like some other Recent flag ships.

According To rumors, Xiaomi Will Retain the 5.7-inch screen size seen in the original mi Note, and the New Phone Could have a 2K display.

Xiaomi is overpriced working on another variant of its flagship Mi 5 called Mi 5s. The smartphone is expected to hit the markets later this year. A report on MyDrivers reveal Mi 5s Could come with a pressure-sensitive display, similar to Apple’s 3D Touch. The high-end Mi 5s will come with 6GB of RAM, Claims the report.

The current Mi 5 version available in India has an 820 processor, 3GB of RAM, 16 megapixel rear camera with 4-axis OIS and a five-megapixel front camera. It features a 15.5-inch full HD display and a curved 3D glass back.

Off late, Xiaomi Seems to be quite busy working on successors of some of its popular smartphones. A few months ago, we came across a report That the Mi Note successor Could flaunt a Samsung Galaxy S7 edge-like curved AMOLED display, Which Xiaomi will source from Samsung. Now, a new rumor out from China sheds more light on possible specifications and features of the upcoming Xiaomi Mi Note 2 phablet.

Citing sources, Gizmo China reports That Xiaomi Mi Note 2 Could be Offered in three variants. The base variant is likely to feature a single camera at the back, ‘regular’ Quick Charge function and a Hi-Fi audio chip. The second version Could feature a dual-camera setup at the back, Hi-Fi audio chip and ‘super quick charging’ feature.

lastly, the top-end variant is likely to come with dual curved edge AMOLED display, the Same as we’ve Already seen on the Galaxy S7 edge. While it is overpriced rumored to include Hi-Fi audio and super quick charging, the report does not talk about dual-camera setup.

In terms of hardware, rumors suggest the Mi Note 2 Could Feature A 5.7 -inch qHD display, Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 820 SoC or slightly faster Snapdragon 823 SoC at helm, paired with 4GB or 6GB of RAM. Previous leaks Also pointed That the Mi Note 2 Could be Offered in 32GB, 64GB, 128GB, 256GB and storage variants. That’s not all; It could finns feature Sony’s 16-megapixel IMX298 sensor with Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) and a 3,600mAh battery.

The Mi Note 2 has definitely been a very long time in the making, but it’s said to’ve become available in the next few months, if a new rumor out of China is to be believed.

Furthermore, We Should Expect not one, not two, but three different hardware versions for the phone. The standard model will feature a single camera on the back, a Hi-Fi chip, and a ‘regular’ Quick Charge function.

The High version will unsurprisingly take things up a notch with a dual-camera setup on the back, as well as a ‘super quick charging’ feature – and will keep the Hi-Fi chip.

Finally, the top of the line version will bring with it a curved display reminiscent of Samsung’s edge line (Which has in fact been rumored before for the Mi Note 2). This will also have a higher-end Hi-Fi chip and the ‘super quick charging’ too.

Unfortunately the source for all of this information has not gone into any details about what any of These things ( “Hi-Fi chip”, “super quick charging” for example) actually mean. So right now it’s anyone’s guess.

One thing That is clear Is that like the original Mi Note, the Mi Note 2 is going to be a high-end device. And with the curved edge screen it might prove to be an interesting competitor for Samsung’s upcoming Note 7 Which willalso go the edge route.

There’s nothing new in this report about specific hardware inside the Mi Note 2, but you should expect to see a 5.7-inch (or so) qHD touchscreen (at least in one of the higher-end variations), Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 820 or 823 at the helm, and up to 6GB of RAM.
