Xiaomi used to be known as China’s Apple, but it is increasingly looking to become a global brand. For the first time in 2017 Xiaomi is exhibiting at CES, and this will also be the year its products finally go on sale in the US.

The company has been teasing "an exciting Mix of tech breakthroughs" on social media, but what will Xiaomi announce at CES in 2017? Here’s how to watch the Mi live stream and what to expect from Xiaomi at CES 2017.

Xiaomi’s 'A Glimpse Into The Future' keynote takes place tomorrow (Thursday 5 January) at 11am PT, which is 7pm here in the UK.

Mi CES 2017: What will Xiaomi launch at CES in 2017?

Xiaomi has been posting to social media teasers of what it has in store at its first ever CES stint, and it says there will be one new product that will be available globally. Given the event’s tagline – ‘A Glimpse Into The Future’ – all our money is on a Global variant of the revolutionary Mi Mix smartphone, though we could also see new products such as the Mi Pad 3 announced.

Mi CES 2017: Mi Mix Global… in white

The revolutionary new Mi Mix is a concept phone with a bezel-less 6.4 in screen, ultrasonic distance sensor, bottom-mounted mini selfie camera and cantilever piezoelectric ceramic acoustic technology.

We’ve been using the Mi Mix for the past couple of weeks (review coming very soon) and it’s an amazing phone. We love the ceramic body and 18K gold camera and fingerprint scanner surrounds, and have been wowed by the performance of the Snapdragon 821 chip, 6GB of RAM and 256GB of storage.

At CES 2017 Xiaomi is likely to announce a new variant of the Mi Mix. Given that the Mi Note 2 announced alongside it is the first Xiaomi phone to come with global connectivity (37 bands including full UK 4G connectivity), we think the Mi Mix is about to follow in its footsteps.

If this Facebook teaser (which mixes the words white and black) is anything to go by we could also see a new white version of the Mi Mix to go alongside the existing black model.

While we expect the Mi Mix Global to headline, Xiaomi will also take the opportunity to show off some of its other products to the world. It will be the largest showcase of its products, according to the company, many of which are shown in this graphic posted to Facebook. The recently announced Mi Note 2 is a surefire bet of a product we will see at CES 2017, and if it doesn’t form part of the Xiaomi keynote it will certainly be on show at the tradeshow.

We recently reviewed the Mi Note 2 in its 4GB RAM/64GB storage edition, and found it to be a Samsung Galaxy Note 7 lookalike that’s hot for a very different reason – read our full Mi Note 2 review here.

With a flexible OLED panel and hardware specifications to match that of any other flagship, the Mi Note 2 is the first Xiaomi phone to come in a 'Global' edition, which supports 37 bands and has full UK 4G LTE connectivity. We received a version with the International ROM preinstalled, which means Google Play and all the apps with which you are familiar are just a tap away.

Also teased is the Mi VR headset, Mi Drone and Mi TV, while there’s an outside chance that a new Mi Pad 3 tablet could see the light of day following several recent rumours. If true, the Mi Pad 3 is thought to be a 9.7 in tablet with a 2048×1536 resolution (264ppi), powered by the 2.6 GHz Core M3-7Y30 and 8GB of RAM with either 128 – or 256GB of storage. With the Mi Pad 2 announced in November 2015, the timing is certainly about right.
