Xiaomi Unveils Mi Note 2 Smartphone, the Mi VR Headset – eWeek

Chinese smartphone maker Xiaomi rolled out one of its latest handsets, the Mi Note 2, as well as its Mi VR headset, which can be used with select Xiaomi smartphones for virtual reality gaming and entertainment. The Mi Note 2, designed to be a world phone for use around the globe, is the sequel to the company’s original Mi Note, which debuted in 2015 with a screen with curved edges on both sides of the display. The Mi Note 2 has a 5.7-inch flexible OLED display and will come in three versions with 4GB to 6GB of memory and 64GB to 128GB of on-board storage. The handsets also include Near Field Communication (NFC) capabilities. Pricing for the handsets ranges from $ 413 to $ 516 each, but the company has not yet announced where the multi-band w orld phones will be sold. The Mi VR headset is priced at a super-low $ 29 and includes a 9-axis inertial motion controller and a built-in dedicated motion sensor for realistic VR experiences.
