second Remove the device from the computer and switch it off.
third Enter recovery mode by pressing and holding the Volume Up, Home, and Power buttons at the sametime.

For CWM, select Backup and Restore, name the file, and move on with the the installation process.
TWRP, select Backup, name the file, and move on with the installation process.
5th Perform a Factory Reset. This will delete all the installed apps and resets the system files to its default setting. This Will not Affect Any data stored in the internal and external storage.
For CWM, select wipe data / factory reset.
TWRP, select Wipe.
