Galaxy S4, Galaxy Nexus, Note 2, Galaxy S3 Android 4.3 Update Roundup - Gotta Be Mobile

Believe it or not, there are still some missing Samsung Galaxy S4, Galaxy S3, Galaxy Note 2, and even the Galaxy Nexus Android 4.3 Jelly Bean updates out there and here, we take a look at the progression Samsung and its carrier partners are making in delivering Those few Remaining Galaxy Android 4.3 Jelly Bean updates.

All the way back in July of last year, Google Announced the Android 4.3 Jelly Bean update, an update That Replaced Android 4.2 Jelly Bean and ushered into the Nexus 7 2013 era on the Google Play Store. Android 4.3 Jelly Bean, like Android 4.2 Jelly Bean was, and still is, Considered to be an incremental update. In otherwords, it does not bring any major changes to the Android operating system.

Google started rolling out the Android 4.3 Jelly Bean update to Nexus users back in July and throughout 2013, we saw other devices receive the upgrade to Android 4.3 Jelly Bean.

Four of the devices That started receiving the Android 4.3 Jelly Bean update lastyear were the Samsung Galaxy Nexus, Samsung Galaxy S4, Samsung Galaxy S3, and the Samsung Galaxy Note second The Galaxy Nexus’ roll out Began in July while the Galaxy S4 saw its update starting in October with the other two updates starting in November. In otherwords, it has been SEVERAL months since These updates first started rolling out.

There are, however, some updates thathave yet to arrive. Some have been delayed, others have simply been neglected. And there is still one major Android 4.3 update That while seemingly confirmed, remains missing in action completely.

We’ve seen a couple of updates In recent days, so we want to take yet another look at the Galaxy Android 4.3 Jelly Bean update situation in an effort to inform the Galaxy S4, Galaxy S3, Galaxy Note 2, and Galaxy Nexus users who are still looking for the update to arrive.

Samsung Galaxy S4

The Majority of the Samsung Galaxy S4 Android 4.3 Jelly Bean updates have rolled out. That much is clear. However, there are at least two Galaxy S4 Android 4.3 updates That remains high at large, even as the Galaxy S4 Android 4.4 KitKat update begins to push to more devices.

Samsung’s Galaxy S4 Android 4.3 Jelly Bean update roll out finished up last year in the United States. So it was not surprising to see the Sprint Galaxy S4 get Android 4.4 EARLIER this week. What is surprising though is thatthere are still some Galaxy S4 models without Android 4.3 Jelly Bean at this point.

Two updates That we’ve been tracking Those are for Telstra Australia and Optus, another carrier in Australia. Telstra has yet to receive the Android 4.3 Jelly Bean update from Samsung Which means That it doing now? Even entered the testing process yet. It documents currently lists an expected release date of March 17th. That’s more than a month from now.

Optus is in a similar boat. The carrier originally expected the update to land in February but now it says That thanks to a critical issue, it will either roll out in late February or early March. No date provided.

We have not been able to track down information for other Galaxy S4 updates so it’s Unclear how many other Android 4.3 upgrades are left.

Samsung Galaxy S3

The Samsung Galaxy S3 and Galaxy Note 2 Android 4.4 KitKat updates are rumored for March or April and from the looks of things, we could see most, if not all Galaxy S3 Android 4.3 Jelly Bean

updates deployed by the Time They arrive.

Samsung is making progress with its Android 4.3 Jelly Bean roll out and SamMobile’s Firmware tracker Suggests That the company has shifted its attention to regions in Africa and the Middle East. But what about the updates thathave yet to roll out

Well, Telstra claims its That update is in testing and That its scheduled to deploy in and around March 3rd. Remember, These dates are tentative and can change Depending on how well They perform in the lab. Vodafone Australia is in a similar stage as it claims That the update is still being probed before its arrival.

The only other Galaxy S3 Android 4.3 update informationthat’ve found comes from Optus. Optus claims That they’ve Approved the update for release and That it will be touching down in the coming weeks. The carrier does not providesprofessional a specified release date to its users Which means That the update could arrive at any point.

Samsung Galaxy Note 2

From the looks of things, the bulk Samsung’s Galaxy Note 2 Android 4.3 Jelly Bean updates have rolled out. Most recently, the Galaxy Note 2 Android 4.3 update landed for users in Hong Kong and Taiwan and on Vodafone in New Zealand. Those updates all rolled out EARLIER this month.

If there are Remaining updates, we have not been able to track them down so it will be up to the Galaxy Note 2 owners to contact Their carrier in an effort to draw out information.

Samsung Galaxy Nexus

Despite a petition from Galaxy Nexus owners, Google has yet to release the Galaxy Nexus Android 4.4 update KitKat and at this point, it likely never will. That means That those who do not root and unlock Their Galaxy Nexus will be stuck on Android 4.3 Jelly Bean forever.

Sadly, not everyone is on Android 4.3 Jelly Bean quite yet. In fact, there are at least two Galaxy Nexus Android 4.3 Jelly Bean updates on the way and at least One That remains out of reach.

The two incoming Galaxy Nexus Android 4.3 Jelly Bean updates are from Telstra and Vodafone, both based in Australia. Telstra claims That the update is currently in testing, odd given how old Android 4.3 ice, and it Should be out in and around February 25th if testing goes well. Telstra’s dates are target dates and Depend on quality results.

Vodafone’s Galaxy Nexus Android 4.3 update passed testing and it Appears That it’s ready to roll out. It’s not clear When The update will roll out though it Should be soon given That the carrier says That it’s awaiting its roll-out. Optus overpriced Says That it has Approved its Galaxy Nexus update and it will roll out soon as well.

This is all good news for Verizon Galaxy Nexus owners who are still without the Android 4.3 Jelly Bean or any sign from Verizon. Verizon does not issue schedules for its updates. The carrier did tell Gotta Be Mobile That the update is still coming but it made no promises about its release date. Affectionate That These updates remainings unreleased, it’s still possible That we’ll see it emerge at some point down the road.
