Samsung Galaxy Note 2 vs. iPhone 5: Grace vs. Muscle - SidhTech

The iPhone 5 and Samsung’s Galaxy Note 2 have been slugging it out for a good while now – how do they actually measure up?

The Note 2 is like a big Galaxy S3 – 5.9 “tall, 3.2″ across and 00:37 “thick.

It weighs 6.4oz. The iPhone 5 is thinner and lighter than previous iPhones, and weighs just 112g. It’s made of aluminum, and ice alreadycreated proving to be not quite as sturdy as the 4S.

The Note 2 has a 5.5 “Super AMOLED screen with a 1280x720p resolution. The Galaxy S3 has the same resolution, but its 4.8 “screen makes it look much better. You really can not say That the Note 2′s screen is as good as the iPhone 5′s retina display.

The iPhone 5′s 4 “IPS display has a 1136x640p resolution, and IPS gives better colors and better appearance in bright sunlight. It is pretty small Compared to the other screens, though, and the IPS tech can not deliver the intense blacks and colors like AMOLED can.

The Note 2 has a 1.6GHz quad-core processor and 2GB of RAM, while the iPhone 5 has a dual-core chip and 1GB.

You’ll get Jelly Bean 4.1.2 with the Note 2, as well as TouchWiz 4.0 and S-Pen. The iPhone 5 is on iOS 6 (soon to be 7) Which is great to use. If you want to choose your ringtone and wallpaper and get going, iOS is for you. If you need to make your OS all yours, then you’ll need Android.

You’ll find the Note 2 is great for film, and has a graphic equalizer. The iPhone 5 is overpriced has a graphic equalizer and a fab music player. And – do not forget Those amazing ergonomic noise-canceling earpods

Both have 8MP cameras That can do 1080p video. The iPhone 5 has panoramic and the Note 2 has something similar. While battery life can be an issue, the Note 2 has a 3,100 mAh power source Which is up to the tough job. The iPhone 5′s smaller 1,440 mAh battery does not last so long, but thanks to the Lightning connector, it charges in a flash (see what I did there?).

Your best option depends on your main values ??and needs. If you want a big screen, strong hardware and Customisation options, then you need the Note 2nd

For a streamlined, intuitive OS and classy looks – go for the iPhone 5.
