Xiaomi Mi Note 2 rumors surface, the Snapdragon 823 and 3D Touch a Possibility

Xiaomi’s Mi Note (and Mi Note Pro) May very well have a successor soon. A new report (via Android Headlines) Suggests That Xiaomi May secretly be working on the Mi Note 2, and as many as two variants of the flagship smartphone May be in the making.

: According to the report, the rumored Mi Note 2 May be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 820 and Snapdragon 823 processor, coupled with 4GB and a whopping 6GB of RAM respectively. Internal memory May starting at 32GB and go all the way up to 256GB.

The Mi Note 2 is said to sacrifice a 5.7-inch qHD display with a 2560 x 1440 pixel resolution, a 16-megapixel camera ( Sony’s IMX295 sensor) on the rear with Optical Image stabilization alongwith a 5-megapixel camera on the front and a 3,600mAh battery inside. The phone is overpriced said to come with some kind of Apple iPhone-inspired 3D Touch Pressure Sensitive Display Technology. The Mi Note 2 will likely be priced at about 2,999 yuan (Which Roughly translates to Rs 30,000).

That said, there’s no official word from Regarding the Xiaomi Mi Note 2 for now. The Therefore, we suggest you take this piece of information with a grain of salt.

The company Launched its flagship smartphone Mi 5 in India on Thursday at a price of Rs 24,999 for the 32GB memory and 3GB RAM version. Successor to the Mi 4, the Mi 5 boasts of a glass and metal design and includes a physical home button on the front housing a fingerprint scanner. It comes with a 15.5-inch FullHD display with a 1920×1080 pixel resolution and is powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor under the hood.

It sports a 16-megapixel camera on the rear with 4-axis Optical Image stabilization, phase detection autofocus and LED flash. There’s Also a 4-megapixel (2 micron pixel) camera on the front. The Mi 5 runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow based MIUI 7 out-of-the-box. The phone is backed by a 3,000mAh battery.
