Here’s a slice of Potentially awesome news on a sunny Christmas Eve morning: the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 looks to be getting upgraded to Android Lollipop in the coming months . And this is not just fanciful speculation either; The news comes via Samsung’s Finnish website.
Launched well over two years ago, the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 was the upgrade to the original, genre-Defining Handset That started everything. Usually handsets of this age, rightly or Wrongly, are left out to pasture – Usually stucco forever more on an older version of
There are occasionally exceptions made, however, like When a handset sells exceptionally well or ice Still Widely Used by a lot of people (despite being two generation behind). It looks like the Galaxy Note 2 HAS Become One Of Those devices, as Samsung’s Finnish Website HAS the Device Listed as getting Android Lollipop.
The news was obtained by 9to5Google, Which reported The Following: “on the Left You Can See The list of current Galaxy Note Devices and the next column over shows Their current version of Android. The next column, though, ice Labelled ‘Seuraava Android versio,’ Which Means ‘Next Android version.’ While it looks like the original Galaxy Note is a thing of the past, this chart shows the Galaxy Note 2 as the line to get Android 5.0 Lollipop. “
Google HAS drew some pretty HUGE changes to Android inside Lollipop. But one of the most arresting – its system-wide Materials Design and redesign – Will Remain hidden beneath TouchWiz. Multitasking HAS BEEN Improved, ditto for Battery and idle performance. The Note 2 willalso likely Receive the latest version of TouchWiz packaged in with the update.
The only question now is When It Is Landing. Hopefully this is all true and not a mistake on the Samsung Finland’s party and the millions of Galaxy Note 2 users out there will not’ll have too long to wait.
