Android 4.4.2 KitKat update continues for a number of Samsung devices including Galaxy Note 2.
Samsung Galaxy Note 2 was launched in August of 2012 and was initially powered by Android 4.1 Jelly Bean.
iDigital Times reported that 4.4.2 can now be installed for international version (GT-N7100) model of the second generation of Galaxy Note.
The site also provided methods on how to manually install the OS in case a user encounters difficulty with the new OTA because of rooted or customized device.
Android 4.4.2 KitKat brings features such as cloud printing, NFC tap-to-pay support, all-white icons within the status bar, full screen album art and the inclusion of a camera shortcut on lockscreen.
The first Android 4.4.2 KitKat update for the smartphone began in France via Kies PC companion software in April.

While rivals are already updating to Android 4.4.3 and Android 4.4.4 KitKat, some Samsung devices are still pushing for the Android 4.4.2 upgrade.
This adds to frustration of some users, consequently, to the company which is already burdened by profit losses for three consecutive quarters and halting business with Chinese partners due to child labor issues.
In a heroic move, around 200 managers of Samsung Electronics’ mobile division voluntarily returned bonuses as a way to take responsibility for the decline in earnings and slow market growth of the world’s largest smartphone maker.
According to Reuters’ sources, returned bonuses would amount to $ 3 billion won or $ 2.92 million.
This gesture is common in South Korea’s corporate realm, where senior leaders would take similar steps when company or department’s performance dips.
